About Us

The story of Bella Dames began in February 2005…when two friends, who met through the interior design business, decided to collaborate on a trunk show with clothes, shoes and jewelry. JoAnn Cardwell and Amanda (Strauss) Stone headed off to market to buy products for their first shows.  These shows were conducted out of friends and families homes.  After that, they say, the rest is history. The ups and downs of starting a new retail business were painful, but exciting at the same time…just like their personal lives. On a wing and a prayer, they are now able to be themselves, dress how they want, and behave how they want… as if that ever mattered.  With a sister and good friends working with them, and help from God above, the days and months and years have been a lot of rockin’ fun at Bella Dames… and the future is looking bright. They’ve made a ton of friends with their customers, and with a new baby on board, maybe she will carry on the torch in a few years. They are planning to expand their current lines into something wilder than their dreams could have imagined…
